The Nets injury picture brightened Saturday, with Andrea Bargnani (hamstring) and Markel Brown (oblique strain) full practicing, Sergey Karasev (sore knee) partially practicing and the coach suggesting that Jarrett Jack's hamstring should be fine by Opening Night.
Bargnani, in fact, took extra practice! The Nets must get down to 15 players by Monday and with no practice session set for Sunday, some expect the Nets to announce their final moves Sunday afternoon.
The Nets have four players fighting for two spots ... as long as there are no other moves. Of the four, Willie Reed has both the biggest guarantee --$500,000-- and the longest time on the injury list --five to seven weeks. The others are veteran Dahntay Jones; Donald Sloan, a candidate for third point guard and Justin Harper, who can play the 4 or 5.
Here's the rundown from the beat writers...
Andrea Bargnani participated fully in practice, even went through a post-practice shooting session with assistant coaches. He's ramping up.
