Billboard Lounge at Barclays Center to feature post-game indie rock, rap and other concerts

Barclays Center

The Vault is dead. Long live the Billboard Lounge. The super high end Vault, with its 11 interior suites that went for $500,000 per year, never met expectations so this year, the space near the Calvin Klein entrance has been turned into the Billboard Lounge with a calendar of small venue, post-game (Nets and Islanders) concerts.

The lounge will be accessible to "Brooklyn Nets and New York Islanders premium season ticketholders" for "members-only artist showcases and performances" that begin 20 minutes after the games end, according to arena reps. Specifically, that means Billboard Lounge memberships are available to All Access season ticket holders and all courtside season ticket holders.

Alex Ray Joel opened the space Friday after the Islanders opener. Jadakiss, the Yonkers-born rapper, will perform following the Nets opener on October 28. Among the other artists listed for post-game concerts: Tokyo Police Club, and Hermitude.

The Billboard Lounge will accommodate up to 300 people. The. 5,500-square-foot Lounge boasts a Billboard-designed music theme, an expansive bar, private hospitality studios, and a separate intimate space called Billboard Hot 100 Room
