The Brooklyn Nets announced that Deron Williams and Kevin Garnett will both sit against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. Williams, who was listed as "probable" earlier in the day, will sit because of a "sore left side," which he injured on Sunday against the Miami Heat.
Garnett will sit due to rest, as he played on Sunday against the Heat and typically doesn't play on the second night of a back-to-back. Brook Lopez will start at center for the Nets alongside Mason Plumlee.
Nets say Deron Williams and Kevin Garnett are both out for tonight's game. Williams for his side, Garnett for rest.
