The NBA announced Saturday morning that the Nets will appear on national television two more times this season, once on January 28, the other on March 6.
In a press release, the league stated that the Nets-Hawks game on January 28 will now be featured on ESPN, replacing the Knicks-Thunder game that was original slotted there. In what could possibly be a playoff matchup in Brooklyn vs. Atlanta, the league opted to flex that one in favor of showing the 5-30 Knicks take on the surging Thunder.
On March 6, the Nets-Suns game will be shown on the worldwide leader of sports, replacing the Wizards-Heat game. Both the Suns and Nets are likely to be fighting for playoff position by the time of this game, so the league believes that it is a good idea to show these two on a national stage.
Brooklyn is featured on ESPN one more time this season (as of now) on January 22 when they take on the Clippers, and on TNT once more on April 6 when they match up against the Knicks.
