The Brooklyn Nets announced that Deron Williams will miss the team's next three games, all on the road, and did not give a specific timetable for return. Williams has missed the team's last six games with a fracture in his rib cartilage. In those games the Nets have gone 1-5.
Brooklyn plays in Sacramento on Wednesday night, followed by a game against the Clippers in Los Angeles on Thursday and in Utah on Saturday before returning home. The Nets did not say that Williams will return to action when the team finishes this three-game stint.
Williams, who traveled with the team, did do some on-court non-contact work, according to the team, and will continue to increase his basketball activity until he is ready to suit up. The team also said that they will not give an update until his status changes. Which, again, does not mean that he'll return to action when the team comes home next week.
