Ohm: Miami showing "strong interest" in Brook Lopez

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

Ohm Youngmisuk reports that the Nets are continuing to shop Brook Lopez and one team with reported interest is the Miami Heat.

The ESPN reporter tweets...

Lopez, who has played eight years with the Nets, has been rumored to be headed to Charlotte (for Lance Stephenson) and to Oklahoma City (for Perry Jones etc.) in the past few weeks.  The Nets have been shopping Lopez and Deron Williams for weeks as their losses continue to mount and playoff prospects begin to dim.  The Nets have sought to play Lopez and Mason Plumlee together, with mixed results.

Other than their three highest paid players -- Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and Luol Deng, the Heat have a mish-mash of players with mid-level salaries, players like Chris Andersen, Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers. Lopez gets $15.7 million and has a player option for $16.7 million next season.
