Brooklyn Nets Bojan Bogdanovic looks rusty in first of three friendlies in France

Brooklyn Nets

Those who watched Bojan Bogdanovic play in his first friendly game this summer thought the Nets' rookie looked rusty and maybe a little out of basketball shape as Croatia lost to France, 81-71 at the French team's practice facility.

Bogdanovic scored eight points in 28 minutes, shooting a miserable 2-of-10 overall, 1-of-5 from two and three point range.  He went to the line four times, making three. He grabbed four rebounds and handed out two assists.  Dario Saric, the 76er pick who decided to stay in Europe for another year or two, led Croatia with 17. For France, who's without Tony Parker and Boris Diaw this summer, they were led by their backcourt of Thomas Heurtel and Nando de Colo, who combined for 27.

Croatia will play Serbia and Greece this weekend in back-to-back games. It's uncertain if Bogdanovic will play in both.  He joined the Croatia team practice last weekend. Croatia opens the World Cup on August 30 vs. the Philippines.
