Mirza Teletovic scores 19 in Bosnian loss while Sergey Karasev and Jorge Gutierrez sit

Three Nets were expected to play Sunday, but only one, Mirza Teletovic, actually put on his national team uniforms as both Sergey Karasev and Jorge Gutierrez sat due to minor injuries. In both cases, the injuries were described as not worrisome but no details were available on what the issue is.

Teletovic scored 19 points as Bosnia lost to Serbia, 82-69, in a friendly tournament in Trieste, Italy. Bosnia plays Italy later Monday in the same tournament.

The Nets forward, who now weighs 250 pounds, finished with seven rebounds, three assists, a block, a steal and a turnover. Overall, he shot 7-of-18, including 3-of-9 from deep. He got to the line twice, making both.

Bosnia's chance to qualify for FIBA Europe 2015 took a hit late last week when Jusuf Nurkic, the MVP of the recent U20 European Championship Division B tournament, announced  that he will not play for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the EuroBasket 2015 Qualification Round. Nurkic, 20, who was drafted by the Nuggets, sustained an injury during the U20 celebrations when a teammate fell on his knee.

Meanwhile, Mexico did not need Gutierrez as it cruised by the Bahamas in the FIBA Centro Basket tournament but Russia lost to Germany in Bamberg, Germany.
