Following an opening week victory over the Indiana Pacers, the Nets went on to lose two consecutive matches to the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder. With a loss to the 76ers, the Nets would virtually be eliminated from tournament contention.

The Nets were down 86-83 when Donte Green stepped behind the perimeter and nailed his fourth three pointer of the game. He certainly wasn't shy in this one, scoring 17 points on 6-20 shooting. Following his three, the Nets didn't score for the last minute of the game, and went on to lose 92-86. It was a thrilling battle between the teams, but the Nets were outscored 29-17 in the fourth quarter which ultimately doomed their chances.

Markel Brown had another impressive game, scoring 17 points on 5-9 shooting. Along with Brown, Cory Jefferson also had a good game with 14 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.  For the 76ers, Casper Ware led the way with 24 points on 9-17 shooting.

The Nets are now 1-3 in Summer League play.
