Brooklyn Nets international summer ... and fall

Russian Basketball Federation

With Mason Plumlee now part of Team USA's preliminary 19-man roster --at least for now, there are five Nets working with national teams in preparation for either the FIBA WOrld Cup --Plumlee with the USA, Bojan Bogdanovic with Croatia and Jorge Gutierrez with Mexico-- or the FIBA EUrope Qualifying Tournament --Mirza Teletovic with Bosnia and Sergey Karasev with Russia.  That's a record.

It's an international summer that also has Lionel Hollins and Andrei Kirilenko heading to South Africa for Basketball Without Borders next week.  And the international will extend into fall, when the Nets play Euroleague powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv in a preseason game at Barclays Center, then fly to China for games vs. the Kings in Beijing and Shanghai.
