Mirza Teletovic goes for 18 points in Bosnian blowout of Sweden in "friendly"

Mirza Teletovic, still on a minute restriction, finished with 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting overall, including 3-of-7 from three as Bosnia easily defeated Sweden, 89-64, in a friendly tune-up game in preparation for next month's FIBA Europe Qualifying Tournament.

Sweden burst out to an early nine-point lead when Bosnian coach Dusko Ivanovic inserted his two NBA players, Teletovic and Jusuf Nurkic, a 6'11" rookie who will play for the Nuggets this season.  The first two times Teletovic touched the ball, he hit three pointers. Nurkic scored 14 with most of his damage done in the second half when Bosnia turned a tight game into a blowout.

"I thank the crowd  that came in large numbers this evening," Teletovic told reporters after the game. "Of course it's always nice to play in our home country, and certainly it's even better when we win. We will needa a bit of time to be at the desired level, Dusko is me to be in optimum shape as soon as possible."

Bosnia will play Great Britain and Iceland in home-and-away sets when the Qualifying Tournament gets underway on August 10. Great Britain's head coach is Jason Kidd assistant Joe Prunty
