Mirza Teletovic scored 14 points Saturday but did not play well as Bosnia lost to Italy in a friendly match in Sarajevo, 75-70. Teletovic shot 3-of-14, 2-of-10 from three, but went 7-of-9 from the foul line as he was the focal point of Italy's defense. Bosnia, prepping for the FIBA Europe Qualifying Tournament, ended the two-day tournament in the Bosnian capital with a win and a loss. The Pistons Luigi Datome had 21 for Italy.
After the game, Teletovic admitted he's feeling some fatigue after the NBA season morphed quickly into FIBA competition.
"There's fatigue, that's for sure. Had a few days to rest. There's a new season waiting for me again, but we need to do everything to qualify for the European Championship, and then we move on," he said
Teletovic also reminisced about the NBA season just ended.
"Very important that when a man goes somewhere to play that he gets the desired playing time ... nicely experience the game in addition to all these stars. These are fond memories, brilliant teammates, I really enjoyed it," said Teletovic.
