Nets acquire picks 59 and 60 and the rights to Cory Jefferson and Xavier Thames

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

After acquiring pick 44 from the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Nets weren't done dealing, acquiring the final two picks of the draft, both for cash considerations.

The Nets had $1 million to spend following the Markel Brown transaction and picked up the final two picks in the process.

Woj liked what the Nets wound up with...

Jefferson is a skinny 6'9" power forward who averaged nearly 14 points per game and more than eight rebounds per game, working with Isaiah Austin. The 6'3" Thames led San Diego State to the NCAA tournament as a senior guard, averaging 17 points and three assists last season.

Neither prospect was slated to go in DraftExpress' final mock draft.  The Nets worked out both Thames and Jefferson this week at their practice facility in New Jersey.
