Brooklyn Nets to open Orlando Summer League July 5

Whoever will be playing for the Nets summer league team will take the court in Orlando on the morning of July 5 to face the Rockets summer league team, according to the schedule released by the Magic.

The game, the first of five, will be broadcast on NBA TV.  In addition to the Nets, Magic and Rockets, the CelticsPistons, Pacers, Grizzlies, Heat, Thunder and 76ers.  Orlando, Boston, Detroit and Philadelphia all have lottery picks in the NBA Draft nine days earlier.  All games will be played at the Magic practice court and are not open to the public.

Each team will play five games over the seven-day event, with a championship day being played on the final day of the league, on July 11. A point system will establish the standings leading up to the final day,

Barring Draft Night trades, the Nets most likely to be suiting up include last year year's rookies Mason Plumlee and Jorge Gutierrez as well as Marquis Teague and whoever the Nets draft, if they draft, on June 26.
