In a tweet from their own account, the Nets disassociated themselves from Lenn Robbins tweet of Thursday night in which the team's in-house beat writer advised Nets fans to "set your DVD and take notes" on the Raptors home crowd, noting "this is what a playoff crowd sounds like."
The tweet read...
Lenn Robbins' tweet last night didn't represent our organization's feelings. We have great fans. Looking frwrd to seeing u Friday for Game 6

Prior to that tweet, both Bobby Marks, assistant GM, and Petra Pope, senior VP for event marketing and community relations, had responded to Robbins tweet, taking the same tack.
Fans, particularly those of the Brooklyn Brigade, the team's most vocal supporters, took exception to the tweet both during the game and again Thursday morning, at one point tweeting
@bknfc @NetsDaily @BrooklynNets @LennRobbins Not used to trolling from the team I root for but sounds like I need to get used to it. My bad.
