Lenn Robbins, the Nets in-house beat reporter, reported a little under two hours before tip off of the Nets game against the Magic that Shaun Livingston and Paul Pierce will sit.

The team is calling Pierce's injury a right hip pointer, and Livingston's injury a sprained right big toe.
Paul Pierce (hip pointer) and Shaun Livingston (sprained toe) will sit out tonight against the Magic.

With the way coach Jason Kidd has taken care of his players in terms of usage, this doesn't come as much of a surprise. Livingston has been playing a lot of minutes all season long, he played 28 minutes last night in Miami but 68 the two previous games. Pierce played 32 minutes last night.
With the team likely staying pat with the fifth seed in the East as the season dwindles down, Kidd will likely give his players more and more time off. Kevin Garnett will be active, though, so that's nice to see.
For the Magic, Nikola Vucevic is out with an achilles injury.
