Rod Boone, easily the best videographer among the beats, shot an interesting piece of video Thursday at the Nets practice: Brook Lopez, three days after losing his boot, was firing up jumpers in his inimitable flat-footed style. Check the background and you'll see Lopez at the top of the key.
Lopez, whose foot and ankle both underwent surgery earlier this year, is out for the season no matter how long it lasts, Nets officials keep saying. Lopez in fact told Fred Kerber two days ago that he'd doing upper body work but that basketball activities are still far off, Everyone, including Lopez and Billy King, have said they fully expect the big man to be ready for training camp with the Nets.
But if shooting on the practice court doesn't qualify as "basketball activities," what does?
