The Brooklyn Nets announced that Kevin Garnett will not play tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies. He is currently suffering from back spasms and has missed his team's last two games.

Prior to Monday's game against the Bulls, Kidd told the media that Garnett is "feeling better" and that they are taking it day-to-day with him.

The Nets re-signed Jason Collins on Wednesday to a second 10-day contract, as expected. He will come off the bench behind Mason Plumlee and Andray Blatche while Garnett is out.
