Out of slump, off trading block, with new agent, Bojan Bogdanovic leads Fenerbahce in Euroleague

The Nets retained the rights to Bojan Bogdanovic at the trade deadline and he may have signaled real interest in the NBA by hiring a top agent. And for him, most importantly, his recent slump appears over.  Bogdanovic scored 17 points to lead Fenerbahce over Anadolu Efes, another Istanbul squad, in Euroleague play.

Bogdanovic was 7-of-13 from the floor, including 2-of-7 from deep, in the win.  Efes made a strong start but Fenerbahce pulled away in the final quarter led by the Croatian Bogdanovic and Linas Kleiza. Each collected five rebounds apiece. The win kept Fener's chances of advancing to the Final Four alive.

In the last two games, Bogdanovic has raised his three point shooting in the Euroleague Round of 16 from five to 11 percent , this after shooting 40 percent in the 10-game regular season.

The 6'8" swingman recently hired Arn Tellem, the NBA's top agent, to rep him in dealings with NBA teams, a point confirmed in a retweet Saturday by Matt Tellem, Arn's son ... and Basketball Information Coordinator in the Nets front office. The news has to be considered positive for the Nets who are likely to be locked in a tough competition for his services this summer.

On the other hand, Jonathan Givony of Draft Express tweets Saturday that Bogdanovic has a new European agent too and he also reps Zeljko Obradovic, Fener's coach.

Fener wants to re-sign him and there's word Spanish power house F.C. Barcelona wants him as well.

The Nets have been reluctant to give up Bogdanovic's rights.  As Chris Mannix reported earlier this week, echoing an internal assessment by Nets scouts, "Bogdanovic, a 2011 second-round pick, has drawn comparisons to Peja Stojakovic, (and) the Nets have shown no indications that they are willing to deal the Croatian prospect."

Meanwhile, the other Nets prospect on Fener, Ilkan Karaman, is getting ready to make his season debut and has posted Instragam video of him practicing dunks, like this one Saturday.  The 23-year-old athletic power forward had minor surgery on both knees in the summer and has been recovering and rehabbing since.
