Much was made of a terrible incident on Tuesday night as Brooklyn Nets super fan Jeffrey Gamblero was carried out of Madison Square Garden by arena security for dancing, yelling and pretty much "just being an annoying fan."
There was some speculation that Gamblero had used his prosthetic leg as a weapon to strike another fan (or, other fans), however there has been no evidence at all to prove that Gamblero was, again, being anything but "just an annoying fan."
NJ.com has now published additional videos which seem to back up the claim that, you guessed it, Gamblero was being nothing more than, wait for it, "just an annoying fan." At one point, video shows Gamblero talking calmly with an MSG usher and shaking his hand. Nothing about it seemed violent or over the top.
Then, of course, we have more video of MSG security carrying out Gamblero, who had lost his prosthetic leg in the process.
Again, what we seem to know is that, sure, Jeffrey Gamblero was being an "annoying dancing Nets fan" at Madison Square Garden. Something that surely Knicks fans -- and on the flip side, it wouldn't have gone over well in Barclays had he been a Knicks fan -- were upset with. However, the matter to which they treated Mr. Gamblero is what is most disturbing.
NetsDaily had learned on Wednesday afternoon that Mr. Gamblero would not attend Wednesday night's home game against the Spurs, and he didn't. We do not know as of now whether or not he will attend Friday's game against the Hawks.
