Nets sign Darius Morris

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

After trading Andrei Kirilenko, Jorge Gutierrez, and future draft picks in return for Brandon Davies, the Nets have signed guard Darius Morris, the team announced Thursday afternoon.

A league source told NetsDaily that the deal is for the league minimum and is non guaranteed.

Morris has played for the Lakers, 76ers, Clippers, and Grizzlies in his three-year NBA career, averaging three points for his career. Morris, only 23, is 6'4" and weighs in at 190 pounds. He can add to the team's depth at the point guard position. The Michigan product was drafted 41st by the Lakers in 2011.

Last April, Morris had one of the greatest games in D-League history, scoring 51 points and handing out 18 assists for the Rio Grande Vipers in the D-League playoffs.  He shot 17-of-26 and 7-of -10 from downtown in 45 minutes.
