The Nets, all 15 of them plus the coaching staff and the basketball operations staff were on hand this morning for City Harvest, an NBA Cares event that's tied into the All-Star Weekend. Adam Silver was there as well as Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. (As Alex Raskin notes, Silver got top billing!!)
The media were there as well as as Mitch Abramson of the News tweets, Silver revealed he spoke with Mikhail Prokhorov this week about the Big Russian's plans for the Nets...
NBA commish Adam silver said that Mikhail Prokhorov has told him directly he intends on maintaining control of Nets.

It's the latest indication that the Nets Russian owner (who was supposed to fly back home Wednesday night) is serious about keeping control of the team.
On Monday, he told reporters, "My position is that I will not give up control of the team. But you know I am quite happy when somebody sends me a nice offer without taking my controlling interest. I think for the time being nothing is imminent but still I think it is not bad just to listen ... I will not give up control of the team."
Silver was also asked about Prokhorov's comments about Jason Kidd. He was diplomatic...
Adam Silver on Mikhail Prokhorov's comments about Jason Kidd: "I think Prokhorov has got a great sense of humor. That's what I thought."
