A behind-the-scenes look at the life of Nets 'super fan' Mr. Whammy

New, comments

By now all Nets fans, be it from New Jersey or Brooklyn, are familiar with the Nets' best free-throw defender, Mr. Bruce Reznick, better known as Mr. Whammy. You've seen him try to hex the opposing team as they shoot free throws throughout the game.

Mr. Whammy was featured on YES Netswork's 'Nets Magazine' last week, in a piece by Sarah Kustok. They went to Brooklyn, where Mr. Whammy, an attorney, lives, and where he houses a mighty impressive collection of Nets memorabilia. He also tells an amazing story about putting his hex on Paul Pierce, while he was a member of the Boston Celtics.

There really are few diehard Nets fans who are as invested in the team as Mr. and Mrs. Whammy are. He's at every game, showing up early, and his knowledge of the team and its history is genuine and not part of a persona. A great piece by YES Network.
