The Nets have had enough of the preseason. The long trip to China, the three games and four nights, the jet lag, it is time for the games to start counting. With just one more game to play before October 29, the Nets have opted to rest a majority of their starters and give the bench players one more hard look before the roster is locked in for the regular season.
Per the Nets PR department, the Nets are starting Marquis Teague, Sergey Karasev, Alan Anderson, Cory Jefferson, and Mason Plumlee in the team's preseason finale. Brook Lopez is out nursing his injured foot, Markel Brown and Kevin Garnett are still ailing from the stomach bug, and Deron Williams and Joe Johnson are getting the night off. As of now, Bojan Bogdanovic is listed to play, but don't expect all that much.
It seems pretty clear that Jerome Jordan will make the roster. He has been a pleasant surprise the past few weeks, so make sure to keep an eye on Jefferson, Willie Reed, and Jorge Gutierrez to see if the Nets will take one of them on the 15-man roster.
The Nets play the Celtics tonight in Boston at 7:30 PM, it isn't on television in the New York area.
