The Springfield Amor, the Nets D-League affiliate, has acquired former Net Sundiata Gaines in a mid-Friday afternoon trade.
Gaines played with the Nets in their final year in New Jersey, playing 57 games for the team and starting in 12 of them. He averaged five points and two assists during his lone campaign with the Nets. He is a native of Queens.
In exchange for Gaines, the Armor sent the Bakersfield Jam's third round pick in the 2014 D-League draft to the Toros, which the Armor originally acquired in their January 2 trade for JamesOn Curry.
Gaines was last in the NBA during the 2012 preseason with the Pacers before he was cut by the team before the regular season began.
