Brook Lopez: "I'm out there doing everything"

USA TODAY Sports

ESPN New York's Ian Begley caught up with Brook Lopez at an NBA Cares charity event in New York on Saturday and reports the Nets center is ready for training and has no restrictions. Camp begins a week from Monday at Duke University.

"It's great, it's back to 100 percent," Lopez told Begley in response to questions about his foot. "I'm out there doing everything."

Lopez had to have a screw in his foot replaced in May and he wore a walking boot most of the summer as he toured the world.

As for team goals, Lopez kept it simple. "We just want to win, that's the bottom line," he said Saturday in Brooklyn.

With Lopez "100 percent," that leaves only Deron Williams status in question. He says his walking boot is precautionary, that his ankle is inflamed after being injured in Utah two weeks ago during a workout.  He lives in Utah much of the off-season.
