Bojan Bogdanovic has a reputation for hitting clutch shots, particularly in FIBA games. He did it again Friday when with seven seconds left, he hit a three pointer to tie a friendly match with Greece. But the Greeks were able to hit a buzzer beater, sending Croatia to its second loss in three friendlies.
Bogdanovic finished with 25 points to lead both teams. He shot 9-of-13, including 4-of-6 from three. He also had three rebounds and three assists. He was guarded by Kostas Papanikolauo, one of Europe's top defenders and a Houston Rocket property. In the three friendlies, the 6'8" shooting guard has 47 points, an average of 15.7 per game.
Croatia plays France, a European powerhouse, Saturday in Strasbourg, France, at 4:30 ET. Croatia, France and Greece, along with Germany are participating in the tournament. FIBA Eurobasket begins September 4. Croatia will play nine more friendlies this month.
