Kevin Garnett: a different kind of celebrity player

That Kevin Garnett is a superstar is not debatable. It's a given. Even at 37, his production (and intangibles) last season was enough to warrant his 15th All-Star selection. But it goes beyond that, as this weekend's news shows. KG's Celtic uniform jersey was the fourth highest selling overseas, behind only Kobe Bryant, Derrick Rose and LeBron James.

Also, papparazzi were out in force Saturday when he and his wife, Brandi Padilla, brought his five-year-old daughter, Capri, to a birthday party for the son of Matthew McConaughey, the actor. Among other celebs who attended the Malibu bash with their kids included Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock and her adopted son.
