No one could possibly doubt how difficult it is for a future Hall of Famer like Paul Pierce to leave the Boston Celtics after 15 seasons in Boston, despite his desire and want to now bring a championship ring to Brooklyn. In the same way Jason Kidd always felt like property of the Nets, despite his travels around the league, Pierce will head into the Hall of Fame as a member of the Celtics, and rightfully so.
Today, two days before Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko are introduced as the newest members of the Brooklyn Nets, Pierce gave a heartfelt goodbye and say "Thank You" to the city of Boston on his Instagram account by posting his favorite moments as a Boston Celtic.
I'm going to share some of my favorite Boston memories on my new Instagram account. Follow me @paulpierce and #THANKYOUBOSTON— Paul Pierce (@paulpierce34) July 16, 2013
