Trevin Parks, Division II All-American SG, to work out for Brooklyn Nets

Johnson C. Smith Athletics

Trevin Parks, a Division II All-American guard from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, will work out for the Nets on June 20. The 5'11" Parks averaged 22.7 points per game (3rd in NCAA Division II). Parks transferred to JCS from UNC-Charlotte. He will go up against Lamont Jones of Iona in the workout. Hoopshype reported the workout.

Parks is unlikely to be drafted, at least in the NBA draft, but could find a place in the D-League. The Nets' scouting reports are shared with the Springfield Armor front office, headed by assistant GM for minor league operations Milton Lee. If undrafted in the NBA Draft, Parks would be eligible for the D-League Draft in November.

Parks calls both Tyrus Thomas and Kemba Walker of the Bobcats his mentors.
