Brooklyn Nets start filling out summer league roster

Kris Joseph

The Nets will aggressively begin recruiting for their summer league roster after Thursday's draft. Agents for those who don't get picked will get calls from NBA teams in the hours after the Draft's second round ends.. Of course, the Nets expect their younger players, including their draft pick, will form the core of the team in Orlando, which will be coached by Jason Kidd. Already, the agent for Kris Joseph has said his client has committed.

Josh Newman reports Sunday that the Nets have a commitment from D-Leaguer Dominque Sutton, a 6'5" shooting guard who played for the Tulsa 66ers last season after going undrafted out of North Carolina Central. He averaged 10.2 points on 51.0 shooting percentage (but only 20.0 percent from deep.) His agent, Dino Pergola, also represents Lamont Jones, the Iona PG who worked out last week for the Nets.
