Brian Shaw is scheduled to meet with Billy King Wednesday as the Nets seemingly narrow their choices to him and Jason Kidd. On Monday, Shaw was in L.A., where he won seven rings, for a meeting with Clipper management in the afternoon, then dinner with owner Donald Sterling.
"I think it went great," one of the executives told the Los Angeles Times regarding the meeting.
Shaw, along with Byron Scott, Lionel Hollins and Nate McMillan, are the leading candidates in Clipperland. Scott, who hopes to parlay his relationship with Chris Paul into a new job coaching him, will be interviewed Tuesday. McMillan will be in Thursday.
Broderick Turner of the Times reports that no offer was made to Shaw.
Meanwhile, Peter Vecsey tweets again that Brooklyn is Shaw's top choice.
@hmacmill I've noted from awhile that BK was Shaw's preference. Hopefully he'll have an option should BK choose Kidd.

@mikeking00 Hopefully there is no favorite until after Brian Shaw gets a chance to interview. Otherwise, why invite him 2 trek from LA.....
