Luol Deng so sick he may not travel to Brooklyn

USA TODAY Sports

The Bulls injury report is now looking like a CDC warning. Not only are Derrick Rose (knee still), Kirk Hinrich (calf) and Yoakim Noah (plantar fasciitis) still hurting, Luol Deng is so sick he may not travel to Brooklyn for Game 7. He's that knocked out says Tom Thibodeau.

Later Friday afternoon, Deng reported that he had undergone a spinal tap and was tweeting from a hospital emergency room!

He added that if he is cleared, he hopes to play in Game 7. Deng was the NBA leader in minutes per game in regular season and is once again the league leader in the playoffs.

Other than that, beat writers tweeted that Thibodeau told them, Hinrich is feeling better and will be a game time decision Saturday night. He will travel with the Bulls. Taj Gibson and Nate Robinson (who threw up during the game) are feeling better. Noah appears to be doing well. And there's no change in the status of Derrick Rose.

Meanwhile in Brooklyn, P.J. Carlesimo said his team was healthy. Everyone is expected to be available. With Andray Blatche's calf improving rapidly (along with his play), Carlesimo likes what he's seen out of the Lopez-Blatche tandem.

In fact, Devin Kharpertian reports that over the course of the series, the Nets have out-scored the Bulls 115-74 in 49 minutes with the two bigs on the court.
