Top Clutch Player in the NBA? DUH!!

Bruce Bennett

If you think Joe Johnson is the best clutch shooter in the NBA this season, you now have statistics to argue your case.

NBA.com on Tuesday highlighted the top clutch shooters this season, defined as most points scored in the last minute behind or tied by two or fewer points. Johnson's total, helped by game winners vs. the Bobcats, Pistons and Bucks, is 14. That puts him one ahead of Dirk Nowitzki and two ahead of Al Horford and LaMarcus Aldridge.

He's also shooting 7-of-8 under those circumstances, 87.5 percent. It will be good to have him back.

For the record, J.R. Smith is tied for 29th; Kobe Bryant is tied for 17th and LeBron James is seventh.
