It's not the divorce many Nets fans had hoped for, but Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian have agreed to a settlement that will finally end their marriage in a divorce, not an annulment as Humphries had hoped.
According to TMZ, the Nets forward basically caved. The celebrity gossip site reported that under terms of the deal...
-- Kris gets NO money from Kim ... He had previously demanded $7 mil.
-- Kris dropped his demand for an annulment based on fraud.
-- Each party will pay their own attorney's fees.
If that's the case, it's a big win for the reality TV star. Still, says a "rep" for Hump, "His commitment to the Brooklyn Nets and the team's incredible fans is his number one priority and he is excited to head into the playoffs tomorrow with this situation behind him."
Stefan Bondy wrote that the prospect of their fourth highest paid player missing games had led to a meeting between the team and the player.
As for Hump himself, he tweeted his feelings shortly after the news broke...
Couldn't be happier!
— Kris Humphries (@KrisHumphries) April 19, 2013
The two began "dating" in the 2010-11 season, then were married in August of 2011 only to separate in October when Kim decided the two had "irreconcilable differences." Kris decided not to go quietly. Now, with the divorce only needing the judge's signature, Kris is free to focus on basketball and Kim is free to marry Kayne West.
