Nets recall Tornike Shengelia and Tyshawn Taylor from D-League

The Nets have yet again recalled Toko Shengelia and Tyshawn Taylor from their D-League stint, and the players will join the team on Thursday.

The Brooklyn Nets have recalled forward Tornike Shengelia and guard Tyshawn Taylor from the Springfield Armor of the NBA Development League, it was announced today by General Manager Billy King. The two players were assigned to Springfield on March 18.

In 10 games for the Armor this season, Shengelia holds D-League averages of 24.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.3 steals per game. Shengelia posted an Armor franchise-high tying 39 points to go along with 18 rebounds on January 24 vs. Maine after recording a triple-double in his D-League debut December 21 against Erie. The 6-8 forward posted a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds to go along with five assists and three steals in his most recent contest March 23 against Maine.

Taylor has averaged 24.6 points, 7.5 assists and 4.1 rebounds in eight D-League appearances this season, including a 32-point performance in his debut December 21 against Erie and two double-doubles in his ensuing three games. His most recent assignment (three games) was highlighted by a 30 point, seven assist, five rebound and four steal outing March 19 against Erie.
