If the Nets decide to fill their final roster spot with a D-Leaguer, two of the strongest candidates have to be the Armor's Kris Joseph and Willie Reed. The 6'7" small forward and 6'10" power forward, led Springfield to their second straight win over the Idaho Stampede in Boise.
Joseph finished with 27 points, while Reed added 23 points and 11 rebounds in the win. The Stampede trailed by as many as 15 points in the third quarter and pulled to within ons with 3:12 left, but couldn’t pull ahead as the Armor got balanced scoring in the fourth, including a 10-of-13 free throw line effort.
Joseph was acquired by the Armor from the Maine Red Claws and and has scored 51 points in two games. Bob MacKinnon, the Armor coach, has said the Nets wanted to take a look at Joseph who played in six games for the Celtics. In the two games, Joseph has nailed 15 of 28 shots, including 4-of-7 from three. Reed, who's improved through the year, won the game Wednesday with a tip in of Joseph's jumper. On Thursday, Reed went 10-of-15.
Reed, 22, was cut by the Kings late in training camp. Joseph, 24, was a second round pick of the Celtics out of Syracuse last June
