Jason Kidd noted that he wanted to bring out some size against the conference-leading Indiana Pacers when he said the Nets will start Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Mirza Teletovic and Kevin Garnett. Last night Shaun Livingston was in the starting lineup, but the Nets want to be bigger rather than more versatile.

Teletovic has played fine basketball in the starting lineup for the Nets so far. In the four starts, he has played an average of 27 minutes and has scored 13 points per game while shooting 47 percent from the field, nearly 38 percent from the three-point line.
On the topic of Andray Blatche's absence from the team, Kidd was not clear.
On Andray Blatche's absence, coach Jason Kidd said, "It's just personal. It's a team issue. So, no need to comment about it."

Kidd also said that he hopes Blatche is back for when the team returns home, on January 4 against the Cleveland Cavilers.
Also, it's worth noting that Andrei Kirilenko did travel with the team. It was expected that he wouldn't, but he is in Indiana with the team, but will not play tonight.
