Fenerbahce Ulker, Bojan Bogdanovic's team, plays in the Euroleague, comprised of the continent's best and richest teams, and the Turkish Basketball League, which as its name implies is limited to teams that play in Turkey. So you would expect Bogdanovic and Fener would play better vs. TBL teams. Not so.
Fener is 8-2, third best, in Euroleague play and 7-4, sixth best, in Turkey. Bogdanovic is the Euroleague's top scorer at 18.1. In the TBL, he's 13th at 14.8. On Sunday, Bogdanovic had his worst game of the season, scoring five points on 1-of-8 shooting in 22 minutes.
The loss was an embarrassment for Fener and its coach, Zeljko Obradovic, who is Europe's most successful coach. Fener, like the Nets, spent lavishly on players salaries and other amenities and ownership expects Fener to win both titles.
