The Nets global goal got a big boost on Wednesday when the NBA announced it top jersey sales, globally and domestically. Three Nets made the top 15 in global jersey sales last season -- Deron Williams, Kevin Garnet and Joe Johnson. No other NBA team had more than two.
D-Will finished at No. 8 (appropriately), KG fourteenth and Johnson fifteenth. The league unveiled the rankings - based on Adidas' global sales for the past season - just three days before the start of NBA Global Games 2013, which starts Saturday. Domestically, D-Will also finished eighth.
The Nets have been on an international push of late, with Brett Yormark hosting a Beijing sponsors event with Garnett and a similar event in Moscow with Andrei Kirilenko.
