Bogdanovic opens Euroleague play with a bang

After scoring 22 points (in 21 minutes) in Fenerbahce's Turkish League opener, Bojan Bogdanovic had 21 points Thursday as Fener opened Euroleague play in Ukraine. The 6'8" Nets Euro-Stash shot 8-of-14, including 1-of-2 from deep in 33 minutes --and delivered the Euroleague Dunk of the Night.-- as Fener defeated Budivelnik Kiev in Kiev.

Bogdanovic is Fener's go-to scorer this season despite the addition of some high-priced talent, including Linas Kleiza, who was amnestied this summer by the Raptors. Kleiza had 12 points in the 102-84 blowout.

Taken in the 2011 second round, Bogdanovic is playing shooting guard in Europe, which he sees as his natural position. The Nets think he could also play small forward. He becomes a free agent --with no buyout-- this summer.
