Bojan Bogdanovic may soon be playing for his fourth coach in two years since he was drafted by the Nets. Fenerbahce, his team the last two seasons, appears ready to fire Simone Pianigiani following a fourth straight loss in the Euroleague. Fener lost in a blowout, 97-75, to Caja Laboral of Spain, Mirza Teletovic's old team.
As noted, Fener spent a lot of money in the off-season and with increasingly disappointing results, fans are calling for Pianigiani's head. (Sound familiar?) In the loss, Bogdanovic scored 16 points to lead Fener, shooting 4-of-10, 0-of-2 from downtown, but going to the line eight times, making all his free throws. Bogdanovic also had two assists and two rebounds. The Nets other second round pick with Fener, Ilkan Karaman, went 1-of-5 for two points.
Saturday is Media Day for the Turkish All-Star and both Bogdanovic and Karaman will be on hand. The All-Star Game is Sunday in Istanbul.
