You've heard of the "Long Goodbye." Welcome to the "Long Hello Brooklyn." Andray Blatche is still expected to join the Nets, but Fred Kerber reports, he "has other business that needs to be addressed first before he could or would make any official agreement." The signing is likely to happen this week.
Kerber cites Andy Miller, Blatche's agent, who says the 6'11" 26-year-old remains "a good fit" for Brooklyn. Miller told Michael Lee of the Washington Post Friday that Blatche would sign a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with the Nets. If Blatche stays on the roster, he would earn $1.1 million this season, $854,000 of which would count on the Nets' cap. Blatche is owed $23.4 million by Washington over the next three years.
