Avery Johnson visited a Fort Worth high school Tuesday to talk to the students about "staying out of life's emergency rooms" but reporters talked to him about basketball, both in Dallas and Brooklyn.

While the coach spoke glowingly of the team's off-season moves --rubbing it in by telling reporters it was all about Deron Williams-- he wouldn't go as far as at least three of his players. Unlike Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez and Mirza Teletovic, Johnson doesn't think the Nets are title bound...yet.

"We’re not there yet. We’re not a championship team. We got a lot of work to do," said the former Mavs coach. "But at the same time, we have a much better talent pool than we’ve had the last two years."
