YES Network will broadcast both the Nets pre-season home opener vs. the Wizards on October 15 and their home game vs. the resurgent 76ers four days later. Ian Eagle and Jim Spanarkel will handle the Wizards game while Eagle and Mike Fratello will handle the 76ers.
In addition, YES is planning an hour-long special entitled, "Nets 2012: Hello Brooklyn." It will have its premiere run before the Wizards game. It will re-air after the game, then multiple times over the course of October. Sarah Kustok, YES' new sideline reporter, will host the special. Ryan Ruocco will join Ian Eagle as play-by-play announcer this season.
In addition to YES coverage, TNT will broadcast the Nets home game vs. the Celtics on October 24 and MSG is likely to cover the Nets-Knicks game at Nassau Coliseum on October 24.
"The Association", NBA TV's reality show featuring the Nets will debut immediately following the Nets-Celtic game in Boston on October 16, raising the possibility that NBA TV will also broadcast that game. Also, on October 5, the Celtics face Fenerbahce, with Euro-Nets Bojan Bogdanovic and Ilkan Karaman, on NBA TV.
