Alyonka Larionov becomes the latest Moscow native to join the Nets and Barclays Center. Larianov will be the host of BCTV, the in-house TV channel for the arena. Larianov, the daughter of Hockey Hall of Famer Igor Larionov, has been a singer (making the final 100 of American Idol), TV host and producer, mainly for NHL programs.
Larionov will also play a role in the arena's social media efforts. Her language skills will be helpful in the Nets' global marketing. In fact, BCTV is sponsored by Ortsbo, a leader in multi-lingual social media presentation. BCTV will include real-time text captioning in any one of 53 broadcast languages of choice, turning events at the arena into a "universally accessible, globally shared experience," according to the company.
