The Nets two European players and two European draft picks all led their teams to victory Sunday, with Mirza Teletovic exploding for 36 in what was a close game until he took it over.; Toko Shengelia going for 23 and 10; Bojan Bogdanovic helping Croatia seal an invitation to next year's Eurobasket and Ilkan Karaman showing off his three point prowess.
Teletovic's Bosnian squad was up by one with 5:31 left when the Nets' power forward exploded, leading Bosnia on a 25-10 run. Teletovic scored 11 points in the run. He finished 10-for-21, including 4-for-11 from deep. Moreover, he went to the line 15 times, hitting 12 and grabbed seven boards. He is now averaging 25.7 for the tournament, second overall.
Toko Shengelia, who will go one-on-one with Teletovic in a crucial game for both Wednesday, finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds and three steals. He shot 8-for-11, all from two point range. Ilkan Karaman got more touches in Turkey's blowout win over Belarus, finishing with 17 points and five boards. He hit two of three from deep. Karaman shot 30.3% from deep in the Turkish league last season. Finally, Bojan Bogdanovic helped Croatia stay undefeated and get a place in Eurobasket 2013. He played only 24 minutes vs winless Cyprus, scoring 14 points on 4-for-6 from three.
