Bogdanovic To Spain Unlikely

Word out of Europe Wednesday that although Bojan Bogdanovic's national team coach wants the 6'8" swingman to join him in Spain, Unicaja's ownership has yet to commit to signing him and apparently is unlikely to do so. That would be fine with the Nets, who would to see both their Euro-Stash, Bogdanovic and Ilkan Karaman, play for one team, Fenerbache, in Istanbul.

The issue apparently is money. Feneerbahce is reportedly willing to dump his contract, which pays him 850,000 and 900,000 euros ($1.1 million and $1.2 million) net the next two years. But a new contract in Spain would cost ownership there 1.5 million euros before taxes (nearly $2 million). Unicaja would also want Bogdanovic to commit for two years without an NBA buyout clause. The Croatian star would rather come to the NBA.
