Teletovic, Bogdanovic Star in Europe

A.J. Mitnick, an Israeli coach, is back on SheridanHoops.com with an analysis (and ranking) of the top NBA players, picks and prospects at the Eurobasket Qualifying Tournament. He has good things to say about all four Euro-Nets playing in the tournament, with particular praise for Mirza Teletovic and Bojan Bogdanovic.

Teletovic, Mitnick writes, "could very well develop into a big time shot-maker who can put points up in a hurry with Deron Williams feeding him open looks." He ranks below only Marcin Gortat, Danilo Gallinari and Omri Casspi. Bogdanovic gets almost as high marks. "He is quickly becoming one of the best perimeter scorers in Europe, and with his buyout becoming far more appealing next summer, his rights could have the same value as a lottery pick in next year’s draft."

All four of the Euro-Nets will be in action later Sunday. With a win Sunday over Cyprus, Bogdanovic's Croatian team would automatically qualify for Eurobasket 2013 in Slovenia. Similarly, Mike Fratello-coached Ukraine could also gain a slot.
