Bosnia lost to Latvia Thursday in the Eurobasket Qualifying Round, 80-64, but for Nets fans, the worse news is that Mirza Teletovic had another miserable shooting night. Teletovic show 25%, 4-for-16, overall, and only slightly better, 28.6%, from deep. Over the past two games, he's shooting 10-for-35 and 5-for-22.
Teletovic finished with 13 points and a +/- of -18. His poor showing dropped him to third in Eurobaskets scoring. He is still first in most field goals attempted and most three pointers attempted. More importantly, it dropped Bosnia to 3-2 and tied for second, with Latvia, in Group D. Only the top two teams in the six groups -- as well as the top four third-place finishers -- will join the seven Olympic entries and host Slovenia at the European Championships next year.
Bosnia and Teletovic play Georgia and Toko Shengelia in a crucial game next Wednesday in Tbilisi, the Georgian capital.
